American Time radio-controlled atomic clocks use a battery movement with a radio receiver that receives a signal from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Atomic clock in Ft. Collins, CO and automatically adjusts several times a day. Our atomic clocks are accurate to within one second with daily NIST updates. With good reception, American Time radio-controlled atomic clocks provide worry-free, accurate, synchronized time at an affordable price.

All radio-controlled clocks must receive the NIST signal from Ft. Collins, CO to function properly. Due to geographic location, atmospheric conditions, physical obstructions, and/or building materials and construction, certain locations may experience reception problems that prevent synchronization with the time signal station.
